Near Greenwood, Mississippi, right next to the bridge that Billy Joe McAlister jumped off of, is Tallahatchie Flats. You can rent an immaculate and beautifully yuppified sharecropper’s shack located in the middle of a cotton field and think Deep Thoughts about the Deep South.
