I just won the Fellowship to be the next Writer in Residence at the Fairhope Center for the Writing Arts! What a great honor to be following in the footsteps of so many distinguished southern writers!
Is this a cool house to hang out in at a world famous artists’ colony or what?
The Great Lakes Booksellers say Heart in the Right Place is selling at # 2 in non-fiction paperback for the greater Chicago area. A member of the same association, Anderson’s Bookshops, shows it selling a day later at # 1 !!!
I started feeding a beautiful black and brown tortoise shell stray kitten that I noticed lurking near my house — and a couple of weeks later, the tiny elegant creature had three kittens!
Here are a couple of photos taken yesterday evening as the kittens made their first attempt to eat solid food. The results were mixed. One chewed mostly on the plate. Another spit out the food and walked away clearly experiencing a bad taste in its mouth. The other seemed to enjoy it.
Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you’d like a sort-of-Siamese looking kitty. Two are sort of seal-point (chocolate brown tips) and one is sort of flame-point (pale orange tips). E-mail me at CarolynJourdan@att.net
